Sony Animation and Columbia Pictures released the very first teaser trailer for the sequel Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Watch the trailer after the jump.
In the wake of the disastrous food storm at the end of the first movie, Flint Lockwood and friends are forced to leave their town of Swallow Falls. But when it is discovered that sentient food beasts have overrun the island, they are asked to return to save the world…again.
I don't really want to nitpick and to be honest it is still worth a try. The premise is still interesting but what I really find very weird are the supporting details that I find very inaccurate and contradicting to the first movie. I even think using "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" as title is not appropriate unless there will be storms once again like what happened on the original book. I know it is a branding thing but I still find it out of place. Well then we just have to wait for another trailer for more confirmation.
